A proponent of the innate wisdom and healing capacity of the body, Dr. Windham is a seasoned veteran in Integrative Medicine, having learned from and worked with some of the leaders and pioneers in the field. She attended medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, OK. She did her Internship at Brooklyn Hospital, then left New York to do her Residency training at Chino Valley Medical Center in Chino, CA. Near the end of her residency, she became deathly ill with lupus after a lifetime of undiagnosed medical problems. She wasn’t expected to survive but utilized her own training and knowledge in Integrative Medical approaches in order to heal herself.
Dr. Windham joined Whitaker Wellness Institute in 2004 where she became both a practicing physician and a self-treated patient at the center, crediting the therapies there with saving her life. She has continued her training as a Fellow in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine throughout the years. She is certified in integrative Wound Care, Hyperbaric Medicine, Neurofeedback therapy, and trained in detoxification and many other Complementary, Regenerative and Anti-Aging modalities to treat the whole person. She has written several papers, has been a featured guest on several health talk shows, is a frequent guest speaker around the country, and her first book is soon to be published.
Her specialty field of practice and true love, though, is PsychoNeuroImmunology. Her experience, knowledge, and unique approach have recently led her to open her own center, Whole Human Life, which is the first multi-state Integrative TeleMedicine consulting business in the country. She is committed to remaining on the frontlines of Integrative Medicine and helping to change the face of medicine in this country.
