Graduated University of Washington 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. She holds a fellowship with the American College of Apothecaries, and the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists. She also is working on completing her A4M Fellowship! As an Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding Board member, Michelle is able to see firsthand how the compounding industry is making a difference in patient care. Michelle has volunteered for The LDN Research Trust since 2019, and became a certified LDN Specialist in 2021.
Michelle has worked in long-term care, hospital based, and retail pharmacies in the Puget Sound area. In May 2011, Michelle opened the doors to Makers Compounding Pharmacy, where medications are made by hand for specific patient needs. Compounding for human and veterinary customers is a privilege, according to Michelle. In August 2015, a Hallmark store was added to the retail area. Since March 2017, Makers Compounding Pharmacy has upheld the highest industry standards for quality and safety through continued PCAB accreditation. Continuing with PCAB accreditation has been important, as Michelle feels it is the minimum standard for compounding. Building a place where providers & patients can find the answers to medical questions, research and compounded solutions is where Michelle likes to begin long-term relationships.
Michelle lives in Big Lake with her husband Michael, who runs and operates The Learning Ladder Childcare. They have 4 children, 4 grandchildren and are living the dream!
