Dr. Khan is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine (1992). He completed his certification in Family Medicine in 1994. Dr. Khan worked as an addiction consultant and research supervisor, and has been active in pain and symptom management for cancer patients since 1994. Through this work he developed an interest in non-toxic cancer treatment. In 2006, Dr. Khan co-founded Medicor Cancer Centres, the first integrated private cancer clinic of its kind in Canada. Since 2007, Dr. Khan has gained international recognition for his work with off-label drugs in cancer treatment, such as low dose naltrexone, dichloroacetate and DMSO. Recently, cancer prevention strategies have been added at Medicor, with a focus on vitamin D, natural medicines, safety-tested e-cigarettes, and medical ozone therapy. Dr. Khan regularly publishes cancer papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, and has been invited to present lectures on complementary cancer therapy and pain and symptom management since 2000.
